Belgian director Chantal Akerman’s three-hour film about the daily routines of a middle-aged woman, Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles, with Delphine Seyrig, was called “the first masterpiece of the feminine in the history of the cinema” by New York Times when it was released in 1975. This autumn it finally gets its Swedish premier with distribution by NonStop Entertainment, the leading distributor of quality film in the Nordic countries. Malmsten Hellberg designed a poster diptych and title treatment for the release.
